This tour is similar to the 4 Day West Coast Safari except that we include 300 km of the remote west coast upper region which is only accessible by 4x4. And then we visit Springbok and surrounding towns that will be covered in Wild Flowers on our way down. Visit beautiful Wild flower reserves at Kammieskroon and Skilpad Nature Reserve. We will visit the world famous Cederberg Mountains with its unique rock formations. You will have the opportunity to hike more than 24 waterfalls and swim in beautiful Sandstone formed rock pools. We will then visit the Wine lands villages of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch which are nestled between beautiful sand stone Mountains.
Paarl
Only 56 km from Cape Town, Paarl offers historical charm, culture,
architectural heritage, wine and fruit farms, breathtaking scenery and many
cycling and nature trails. Major attractions include Paarl Mountain (one of the
largest solid rocks in the world), the Afrikaans Language
Monument.
Franschhoek
Franschhoek is well known for its excellent restaurants, top accommodation
establishments, splendid mountains and openhearted hospitality. Spend time
browsing its many arts-and-craft shops.
Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch, the oldest town in the country after Cape
Town, is undoubtedly one of the most scenic and
historically-preserved towns in southern Africa.
The town, ideally situated in a magnificent mountain valley, boasts a mild
Mediterranean climate and is the ideal destination from which to explore the
Wine lands.
ITENARY
Day 1
Drive along west coast past Blouberg Strand, Melkbos Ysterfontein, Darling and
into West coast Nature Reserve. Have brunch along Lagoon. Visit
Fossil Park
(only Fossil Park in world with land and sea
speciments) Drive through Langebaan towards Paternoster and visit Veldrif fish
factory. Drive along west coast to Elands bay where you will have lunch via 4x4
route on Bobejaan Mountain ( weather permits)Arrive in Lamberts bay for Town
tour and visit Bird island Drive with 4x4 route through farm to coast where we
will spend the night in private Nature
reserve.
Optional: Horse riding and Quad biking
Day 2
We drive past Strandfontein where we will join the coastal 4x4 sandy road which
will take us along the coast for the next 2 days. We visit remote areas like
Brandsebaai, Groenriver mouth, and Hondeklip bay. We will sleep the night next
to the coastline seeing that there are no established accommodations available
on this coastline till Hondeklip bay.
Day 3
We drive along the old copper route over the Messelklip Pass
and towards Springbok where we visit the wild flower reserves at Skilpad Nature
Reserve and Kamieskroon. We sleep the night at Naries Guest farm.
Day 4
Depart to Cederberg
Mountains via
Clanwilliam. The whole day will be spend exploring the magnificent Cederberg
biome and its world renowned rock formations while driving towards Wuppertal via 4x4 route and stopping at
Clanwilliam dam, and swim holes. Sleep in remote area just outside small village of Wuppertal at gorge where you will spend
rest of day swimming and relaxing at gorge.
Day 5
Drive via N7 to Citrusdal where we will have brunch at private Waterfall just
outside of town. Drive through Olifantsriver to Beaver lac Wild reserve where
we will spend time at waterfalls. Drive down Dasklip Pass
overlooking the Swartland and sleep at 21 waterfalls camping area.
Day 6
Drive via Wolseley to wine lands villages of Worcester, Paarl to Taal Monument
overlooking Cape Town
and surrounded areas where you will have Lunch at 12:30. Drive through
Franschoek and Stellenbosch for village tour and visit Zevenwacht wine farms
with its unique Renosterveld which is the most endangered Fynbos region with
only 5% left. Arrive in Cape Town
at 18:00 for farewell dinner.

Drive up Baboon Mountain to have view over West coast. Drive 250 km on remote
west coast that is only accessible with 4x4 vehicles. Have lunch at 15 m high
private waterfall in Cederberg range. Drive through Oliphant's river into
wilderness and down pass to hike 20 waterfalls.
Accommodation:
Only difference between the packages is the accommodation. Meals provided will
always be of best quality ingredients available and transport is with 4x4
vehicles.

Chalets and Lodges will be on Nature/Game Reserves or out of town at beautiful
spots. Choices are between premium R750, Gold R1500 and Classic R3000
Food:
Mixture of interesting restaurants and by the crew an African cuisine will be
prepared in African Kitchen on the fire using different methods. Your breakfast
and lunch will be served on the beach at waterfalls, swim holes or from view
points only accessible by 4x4. Dinner will be around a Camp fire.
Transport:
4x4 vehicles will be used which has a/c, comfortable seats with best quality
camping gear to make your adventure a more exclusive off the beaten track
wilderness safari.
